price, Technomate only supply silver receivers and the black receivers are a silver receiver that is converted to
black by the dealer using a silver to black conversion kit. This kit consists of a new front panel, lid, handset
and box. The fitting of this conversion kit takes our workshop about 1/2 hour and the kits have to be bought from
Technomate. This is why a black receiver is more expensive. also note that as it takes time to do the conversion,
a black receiver will not be shipped until the day after an order is placed as technician time must be allocated.
The cost of the kit and the fitting results in an increased cost or £50 The good news is that we supply the
original silver handset with the new black one and since a handset normally costs £30, having two handsets,
(one black and one silver) makes the extra £50 better value.

Digital receivers are normally empty of all channels. You scan them in when you connect to the satellite.
We can take the receiver out of the box, connect it to a dish and tune in two satellites for only
£11.75 We then move and arrange the channels into a logical order.
Some good free channels are moved to the start of each satellite.
Channels are moved into their packages.
If you are buying a complete system, this option also helps take some of the work out
of the system setting up process as to tune channels a dish first needs setting up,
But the channels are useful to help set up the dish! Chicken and egg situation.
You are not on satellite to scan the channels and you cannot find the satellite
as there are no channels scanned in!
A programmed receiver breaks the circle and helps to set up and install a system.
