Compression F connectors
and fitting tool
Very high quality F connectors - in your hand they feel heavy. They are fitted with a compression
tool (see picture) and this provides a watertight seal. The manufacturers claim you do not then
need either waterproof tape or a weather boot.
Initially we thought it to be a good idea for a "belt and braces job", to use
tape or a weather boot as well. Then when we talked to the manufacturer, the told us
these connectors are tested under water at 2 bars of pressure and extra waterproofing
