Satellite Dish Heaters.
An excellent solution for snow build up on a satellite dish.
At last a low cost dish heater in the UK. The pictures show the heater on a "
Zone 2 Sky mini dish" (55cm X 74cm)
an "
Icecrypt 80cm dish" (79cm X 72.5cm) and a "
Triax 90cm dish" (85 X 95cm). All three dishes can have the majority
of ice or snow removed from them by turning on the heater. The heater is fixed by removing the backing paper and
offering the self adhesive surface to the dish. The elements inside the heater do have spaces between them and
so additional holes can be made in the heater so that dish bolts can go through without damaging the heating
elements. Indeed the 80cm dish in the picture was carefully positioned so that the holes did not foul the heater's
element. Fitting the self adhesive heater is very easy. This heater is ideal for locations where regular snow falls
are expected. The kit contains a switch mode power supply that will work from 100V to 240V. The output is 24 volts
with a current rating of 6.25A. 30.48m (100 feet) of cable is included to go between the power supply and the dish.
Full instructions are also included. The kit is supplied in two boxes. One for the power supply and cable and a
large flat box to protect the heating element. Once again Satellite Superstore stocks those difficult to find items.

Also note you can make a saving with larger dishes (e.g. 1.8m) by only putting 2 heaters in the bottom half of the dish.

Satellite Dish Heater Accessory.
This dish heater accessory plugs into the dish heater and heats the feed / LNB support arm. A build up of snow can
occur in the corner where the arm meets the dish reflector.This heater goes at the bottom of the feed support arm to
prevent the build up of snow in that area. This is for offset dishes where the support arm is in the middle at the bottom.
