Information & satellite equipment for the free BBC
Channels and other free channels on Astra 2

The Astra 2 satellite at 28 degrees east transmits a number of clear (unscrambled) channels.
This is a high power satellite and can be received (from the UK) with a mini dish (details below)
but for all-weather reception we would recommend the Triax TD 64 cm dish. Below you will find
the satellite receiver we recommend and lower down the page, complete systems. Pre-programming
of channels is available and towards the bottom of the page you will find installation equipment.

If you intend to fit the system yourself ...

You will need a satellite meter. Either a Digisat meter or a Lacuna meter.
You may also need other installation equipment.
