Included in our motorised kits is what we consider to be the best Diseqc motors available. The Technomate motors.
We have used these motors for many years and they have been utterly reliable. Even though the TM2300 has worked
perfectly with the larger 1.0m dish we are now packaging the 90cm and 1.0m dishes with the TM2600 motor.
The TM2300 motor uses ultra QUIET gears and unlike some motors there is no play in the Technomate motor from new.
Technomate motors also hang from above giving better dish clearance. The TM2600 uses metal gears and so it is now
packaged with the larger dishes. That being said the TM2300 was never a problem but for exposed locations the TM2600
should offer more strength. With dishes below 90cm we still believe that the best option is the very quite TM2300
motor which has already proved it's long term reliability in the past with dishes up to 1.0m Also note that we do
not recommend the use of Diseqc motors on steel dishes over 90cm or aluminium dishes over 1.0m.
For larger dishes use a 36-volt motor and a
V Box.

In exposed locations and with larger dishes it is best to use heavier duty 36-volt motors. 36-volt
motors are larger and more powerful. This extra power comes from the V Box (a type of power supply) and a 4-wire
control cable. It all works automatically with the receivers own remote control.
Our recommendations.
1. In very high wind load situations use a 36-volt motor kit.
2. In all other situations the excellent Technomate Diseqc motor shown in the kits above is fine up
to 90cm steel dishes and up to 1.0m aluminium dishes but for larger dishes, heavier 36-volt motors
must be used. Remember, with big dishes, big lumps of metal (heavy motors) are needed to withstand winds,
not software and promises!

This is our own stand. It is 1.25m high and uses a 76mm (3.0") pole.
Heavy 6mm thick angle is used along the base and the angle dimensions are 60mm by 60mm.
There are 12 holes for fixing down to concrete or paving. 4 in each angle. See bottom left picture.
It is etch-primed and pained black. The final coat of paint is baked in an oven for a hard finish.
The stand is bolted together to make it easy to ship. Multiple bolts are used for maximum rigidity.

A matched Raven feedhorn is highly recommended for this Raven 1.8m dish. Using this feedhorn with a
C120 flange LNB provides better matching and more good signal (a higher signal to noise ratio) than
a standard 40mm clamp LNB. It is best not to invest in a high quality Raven dish and use a compromise
40mm mass market LNB where the integrated feedhorn is designed for
ANY dish but is not matched?

Option - Ground Stand for the
1.8m motorised Raven dish
Manufactured by the Satellite Superstore.
This is our own stand. It is 1.25m high and uses a 76mm (3.0") pole.
Heavy 6mm thick angle is used along the base and the angle dimensions are 60mm by 60mm.
There are 12 holes for fixing down to concrete or paving. 4 in each angle. See bottom left picture.
It is etch-primed and pained black. The final coat of paint is baked in an oven for a hard finish.
The stand is bolted together to make it easy to ship. Multiple bolts are used for maximum rigidity.
The stand is heavy but it needs to be. This stand is designed for our motorised version of the 1.8m
Raven dish. This stand is at a discounted price when you buy it with the 1.8m motorised dish kit.

This mount is ideal for use with fixed or motorised dishes of 90cm, 1.0m or 1.1m and for use with Diseqc motors.
This mount is not manufactured by Satellite Superstore (the
heavy duty mounts are) but it is one of the best
mounts we have seen. Not as heavy duty as our own but in all but the most exposed locations it will be fine.
It is protected by a good galvanising process. It only uses 6 bolt holes and it is a strong low cost solution
for most situations. 50mm (2") diameter mast and 480mm stand-off. Suitable for dishes up to 1.1m. 6 bolt fixing.

Buying a fully loaded (programmed)
satellite receiver for motorised use.
This service is available for any motorised dish. If you are buying a system, or just a receiver
and you already have a motorised dish, we can take the receiver out of its box and fully program
it on one of our demonstration dishes. This would mean that the new programmed receiver can be
connected up by the customer and all the satellites channels will work straight away.
(Providing it is connected to a dish that is properly fitted, set up, and tracking the arc)
It would take a customer about many hours to program a receiver (since there would be
unfamiliarity with the installation menu system). After programming, the channels are then organised
in a logical order. (This is what takes the most time.) We make sure the first channel on every
satellite is a clear free to air unscrambled channel. Channels are organised into a logical order.
e.g. Adult channels all together etc. Movie packages .. etc. Moving all of the channels into a
logical order can take days. This programming is ONLY £19.95 This service is entirely optional
but for mail order customers it can take a great deal of the worry and uncertainty out of a
purchase. The programmed receiver is supplied without dish positions to be used with any dish.
Only the positions and the limits need to be added. This is a 10 minute job. This option is
ideal if you are buying a full motorised system and you intend to fit it yourself.
This option helps a great deal. It also makes it easier to install a motorised dish as channels
already loaded can help identify the satellite if a budget satellite meter is being used. Detailed
installation notes written by us are included and we can talk you through the installation
over the phone if required. See our support package on our

In addition, useful easy to follow notes on blind searching written by us are included for
